Oren Etzioni, CEO of the Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence, recently told GeekWire the company is on “a huge hiring spree.”
“We’re hiring to grow to 75 people or so over the coming year,” he said. “We’ve just gotten a bunch of extra space in our building in Fremont. We’re growing because…a lot of people say it’s the AI spring.”
AI2 has posted a number of listings for job seekers hoping to join the movement, including a Research Scientist position. The institute’s research scientists work on projects in natural language processing, information extraction, diagram understanding, machine learning, theory formation, and more.
The ideal candidate for this role has a strong academic foundation, preferably at the PhD level, extensive work experience, and published work demonstrating applications for past research.
