thePlatform, a subsidiary of Comcast, is a leading provider of online video publishing and management, used by global video streaming services. The company is hiring for several engineering and management positions through GeekWork.geekwork1

One position is a Product Support Engineer, who will work with customers to troubleshoot and perform maintenance on various products and services. The position also involves communicating customer issues to the rest of the team and advocating for customer’s needs.

While this role does have a highly social aspect, it also requires strong technical skills, and particularly a strong foundation in Shell, Python, Ruby, or a similar scripting language. Experience in UI design or implementation is a plus. More information about the position is available here.
