“Game of Thrones” geeks are going to finally get the epic battle they’ve been waiting for this Sunday, as Jon Snow takes on Ramsay Bolton in the “Battle of the Bastards.”

“Battles have been won against greater odds,” Snow says in a trailer for the episode. “I’ve fought beyond the wall against worse than Ramsay Bolton.”

“You don’t know him,” says Snow’s sister, Sansa Stark, who does, in fact, know Ramsay all too well.

CNET pointed at a story from Entertainment Weekly in which the mag runs the numbers on the show’s biggest battle ever — even before dragons (maybe? someday?) breathe fire down on King’s Landing?

EW reports that 600 crew members, 500 extras and 70 horses were used to shoot the episode, which took 25 days. Spears, arrows and axes fly in the trailer — and so do tiny Bolton fighters at the hands of the wildling giant Wun Wun.

EW also has a spoiler-free preview of the battle and an interview with Bolton actor Iwan Rheon.

“Anyone who has asked me, ‘Who would you like Ramsay to meet?’ My answer has always been, ‘Jon Snow,’” Rheon told EW. “He’s the antithesis of Ramsay. They’re almost a yin and a yang. They both come from such a similar place yet they’re so different. And even though they’re enemies, they’ve both risen so far as bastards, which is almost incomprehensible, and now they’re both here facing each other. They couldn’t be any more different, yet more similar.”

Find out who’s left standing in the Winterfell mud when “Game of Thrones” airs Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
