“Game of Thrones” fans wouldn’t be expected to concern themselves much with a baby shower for “Late Night” host Seth Meyers and his wife, but since Melisandre the Red Priestess got an invite, this is worth a look.

The late-night comedian and his wife are expecting their first child, and in a show sketch on Thursday night, Meyers introduced Melisandre (actress Carice van Houten) as his old friend attending her first baby shower.

When the women at the shower are asked to share an inspirational quote about motherhood, Sue, for instance, reads, “God could not be everywhere and therefore he created mothers.”

Awwww!

Melisandre, how about you?

“Clutch your child close to your breast, woman, for the night is dark and full of terrors.”

Ohhhh?

When asked if they’re having a boy or girl, the red priestess interjects, “Pray that it’s a son, so that the Lord of Light can look down upon him with favor. And if it’s a girl, lock it away in a dark tower forever and hope it’s not consumed by greyscale.”

Watch the video for the rest of Melisandre’s uplifiting appearance, including her tale of the birth of her own shadow demon.

Previously on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” Jon Snow showed up at a dinner party and announced, of course, that winter is coming.

Season six of “Game of Thrones” will premiere on HBO on April 24.
