Caitlyn Jenner is branching out from reality television and will appear next season on the Amazon original series “Transparent.”

Jill Soloway, the creator and executive producer of the series, told The Associated Press about the casting during an interview at the GLAAD Media Awards on Saturday in Los Angeles. Jenner will begin filming scenes next week.

“We are all part of the same community,” Soloway told the AP. “A lot of the transwomen who work on our show are also in her show ‘I am Cait.’ Lots of crossover. Lots of friends.”

Jenner’s reality series “I Am Cait” airs on the E! network. She also appears in her family’s ongoing series, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” also on E!.

“Transparent” won the GLAAD award for outstanding comedy series and “I Am Cait” won for reality series.

“Transparent” is entering its third season this year. Soloway did not reveal to the AP any details about Jenner’s character. The show follows the life of a transgender woman and her family and stars Jeffrey Tambor as Maura Pfefferman.
