Bill Gates says that he and his wife Melinda are interviewed dozens of times a year, but in a new blog post the Microsoft co-founder says that high school students in Eastern Kentucky came up with some of the most memorable questions the pair has faced.

The Gateses traveled to Kentucky and Betsy Layne High School near the end of 2015. In posts this week on his Gates Notes blog, Gates shares inspiring stories of teachers and students who are working hard to make a difference in a community hit hard by the collapse of the coal mining industry.

The couple sat for an interview with students from a school news program, and in a session of “Bobcat Banter,” they answered a series of rapid-fire questions. Bill and Melinda share blue as a favorite color and Australia as a favorite place to visit. But after that, it’s a miracle the two can even stand each other! For example:

  • He likes Cocoa Puffs, she likes Wheat Chex.
  • If he was stuck on a deserted island and could have only one item, Bill would choose “Internet connection.” As she laughed at his answer, Melinda said she would bring her best friend — apparently to keep her company while Bill is online.
  • Bill thinks he’s heard of the Whip and the Nae Nae dances. Melinda admits that her 13-year-old daughter tried to teach her the moves but her daughter said she’s “pathetic.” And no, she won’t demonstrate.
