Apple fanboys and girls who aren’t satisfied with just spending $700 on a new iPhone or $1,800 on a new MacBook have another type of book that they can drop their money on.

The tech giant announced the release Tuesday of a new hardbound photo book celebrating 20 years of design at Apple. “Designed by Apple in California” features 450 photographs of Apple products and is available in small size for $199 and large size for $299.

The book — with a spare design to match its iconic products — is dedicated to the memory of Steve Jobs and covers everything from the iMac to the Apple Pencil.

Apple design bookApple design book“The idea of genuinely trying to make something great for humanity was Steve’s motivation from the beginning, and it remains both our ideal and our goal as Apple looks to the future,” Jony Ive, Apple’s chief design officer, said in a release. “This archive is intended to be a gentle gathering of many of the products the team has designed over the years. We hope it brings some understanding to how and why they exist, while serving as a resource for students of all design disciplines.”

Most anyone who has ever owned an Apple product is aware of and appreciates the strict design sensibility that the company adheres to when it comes to what it produces. The look and feel and even the smell become as important as the performance. Thumbing through a linen-bound hardcover, with “specially milled, custom-dyed paper and gilded matte silver edges, using eight color separations and low-ghost ink” is sure to be intended to reinforce that.

Users who put down their digital devices long enough to soak up this tome should just go ahead and light a New Mac candle.

The photographs in the book were shot by Andrew Zuckerman, and show off the design process as well as finished products. Ive discusses the book, below, in a YouTube video from Japanese design magazine Casa Brutus. h/t The Verge.
