Amazon has the best corporate reputation among the 100 most visible companies in the United States, just ahead of Apple and Google, according to a new Reputation Quotient Summary Report, released by the Harris Poll today. It’s the eighth consecutive year that Amazon has ranked in the top 10.

The survey found that Americans perceive Amazon to be “excellent” when evaluated across corporate reputation dimensions including Social Responsibility, Emotional Appeal, Products and Services, Vision and Leadership, and Workplace Environment. In its industry-specific reports, the Harris Poll noted that Amazon was strongest in Products and Services, Vision and Leadership, and Emotional Appeal.

The result might come as a surprise given the New York Times’ widely read investigation into what the newspaper described as the “bruising” workplace culture at Amazon. However, in line with that report, the Harris Poll found that Amazon’s top area for improvement was Workplace Environment.

Sixty-four percent of Americans said that unfair workplace conditions and culture were one of the biggest risks to to their positive assessment of a company’s reputation.

The survey asked more than 23,000 Americans about their perceptions of the top 100 most visible companies in the country. Here are the top 10 for this year.

  1. Amazon
  2. Apple
  3. Google
  4. USAA
  5. The Walt Disney Company
  6. Publix Super Markets
  7. Samsung
  8. Berkshire Hathaway
  9. Johnson & Johnson
  10. Kellogg Company
