Talk about a flash sale. Xiaomi moved more than 2.11 million smartphones in a day via its online store Mi.com.

That number sets a Guinness World Record for the “most mobile phones sold on a single online platform in 24 hours,” according to Guinness’ site.

The record sales number was part of Xiaomi’s Mi Fan Festival, in which it offers special promotions during its anniversary. This fifth anniversary sale was a doozy, the company taking in about $432 million total, boosted by the massive mobile phone sales in addition to selling other goods like TVs. About 14.6 million people came to the Mi Fan Fest site that day, helping create the “miracle” of the record, according to Mi.com.

As Ars Technica reports, to put that into perspective Apple sold about 10 million iPhones over three days after its launch, a “new record” for the company.

IDC lists Xiaomi as No. 5 in global smartphone market share: “Xiaomi posted the largest YoY growth of 178.3 percent among all the leading vendors, thanks to a solid demand within its home country of China,” IDC reported from Q4 2014 data. “With a steady release of low-cost yet competitive products such as the Mi4 LTE, Xiaomi’s grip on the number 5 spot is tenuous at best. What remains to be seen is how the company can move beyond its home territories with its current customer base and unique marketing strategy.”

Moving beyond China, indeed. In February, Xiaomi had a press conference talking about its expansion, especially into the U.S. market, according to the Verge. Phones might not be here in 2015, but the company does plan to launch Mi.com with “simpler products.”
