Watch this artist paint R2-D2 with coffee

Coffee is everywhere in the news these days, but here’s one new take: This artist uses it instead of watercolors to paint pop culture icons.

Maria Aristidou‘s Instagram is filled with the images of Star Wars‘ R2-D2 and Yoda, along with Elsa from Frozen, Bob Marley and more. A commercial artist based in the UK and Cyprus, she writes via Facebook: “Firstly made by accident, Coffee painting has really grow on me.”

It’s pretty cool stuff.
