VC Dave McClure and Highway1’s Brady Forrest will field pitches at the GeekWire Summit.

Venture capitalist Dave McClure is everywhere these days — meeting entrepreneurs from Bahrain to Kazakhstan. If there was a cool startup idea brewing on the International Space Station, the 500 Startups co-founder would probably figure out a way to get there.

Now, fresh off a new $85 million venture fund, McClure will land in Seattle on Oct. 1 to participate in the fourth annual GeekWire Summit.

We’re excited to welcome McClure to this year’s event, and talk to the brash and entertaining investor about the changing dynamics of venture capital, entrepreneurship and even some of the unicorns he’s spotted. He’ll be joined on stage by Brady Forrest, who leads the hardware startup accelerator Highway1 and stars alongside McClure in the new Syfy show Bazillion Dollar Club.

Now, here’s your chance to pitch them your big idea live onstage at the GeekWire Summit.

If interested, send me an email with the subject line: IWantToPitchDaveAndBrady. Email me at —  john@geekwire.com — and include up to 150 words on why you think your idea will knock their socks off. We’re looking for up-and-coming companies that are four years old or younger, with entrepreneurs who aren’t afraid to tell 500+ movers and shakers why their idea will change the world.

You must be registered for the GeekWire Summit in order to apply, with registration open here. From the pool of applicants, we will select three entrepreneurs to come on stage near the end of the fireside chat with Dave and Brady in the late afternoon of Oct. 1. You’ll get 2-minutes to pitch your idea, followed by a short Q&A.

This is just for fun, and there’s no promise of investment here, but if you’re selected, it’s a great way to showcase your startup to a top VC on stage and other technology leaders in the audience.

Sound fun? Secure your Summit ticket, and then e-mail me with your 150-word application at —  john@geekwire.com — by Sept. 16. Then, if you’re lucky enough to be selected, get ready to pitch!
