Unify Square is the latest company of techies to bust a rhyme.
In this new video, “MC Cloud” raps about the Bellevue-based company’s services, helping businesses implement Skype for Business, with the main message: “Put your Skype in the air.”
“Say you’re rocking with some old PBX, and you wanna transition. Man, we know what’s next. We got a hybrid plan with Office 365 that puts stuff in the cloud while keeping your servers alive.”
The company is a longtime partner with Microsoft, which helped fuel the creative fires to produce it.
“Microsoft approached Unify Square looking for partner video contributions to help promote its big Skype for Business cloud services launch this week,” Scott Gode, VP of product marketing at Unify Square, told us via email.
“We wanted to do something a bit more ‘out-of-the-box’ from the standard ‘talking-head’ video and came up with the idea for a rap video to help tell the Microsoft and Unify Square partner story in a fun, and hopefully compelling way.”
Gode tells us that the video was produced by RUN Studios in Kirkland and features local performer Eric Ankrim. Unify Square provided the talking points and main messages to Ankrim, who then penned the rap.
The video was shot in one day at Unify Square’s headquarters in Bellevue and in Bellevue’s Downtown Park. Everyone else featured, a.k.a. Ankrim’s backup singers and dancers, are Unify Square employees.
Just last week, we reported that Unify Square raised another $4 million to expand its existing network operations center in India, to bring total funding just over $30 million.
Well done, Unify Square!
