With Twitter replacing its “favorite” star with the heart, we don’t know how much more of this adorableness we can take in our daily lives, but here it is anyway — the emoji keyboard.
That’s right. Never again will you have to punch out real words, or even abbreviations like LOL. The emoji keyboard solves all that nonsense with its keyboard of pictures you can just hammer out like a modern-day cave person who has no written language to fall back on.
Via the Next Web, the emoji keyboard is made by Austin-based EmojiWorks. “This is the first keyboard we’ve seen that isn’t a concept or add-on,” the Next Web writes. “It’s a physical keyboard you can buy and emoji your life away.”
So instead of writing, “Taco truck for lunch?”, you can just fire off a taco emoji to do the trick.
If you are especially fluent in emoji, you may want to opt for the plus or pro version, which give you even more options. The company claims that using emojis allows you to type up to 10 times faster than using words alone.
Words. That is so 2004.
The keyboards start at $79.95 and are available for preorder here. EmojiWorks states that they are Bluetooth enabled and compatible with all Apple and Microsoft Windows devices.
