Finding likeminded people to spend time with is an age-old quest that technology seems hell-bent on solving. The latest demographic the app world wants to bring together? Weed smokers.

New app High There, developed by Todd Mitchem from Denver, was inspired by his own experiences with online dating. Mitchem says he was tired of potential matches on dating sites being “put off by the fact that he was a pot smoker,” according to Mashable.

“We wanted to build a cool piece of technology that solved the problem of where do million and millions of cannabis consumers go to meet people, connect with people and build relationships,” Mitchem told Mashable. “A lot of people say we’re the Tinder of weed, but that’s only one facet of the whole thing. It’s so much bigger.”

The app matches you on a variety of pot-friendly factors, including how you prefer to ingest it, what you like to do when high and your energy level. Right now, it’s available for Android smartphones via Google Play. An iPhone version is reportedly in the works.

High There isn’t the first digital application looking to bring cannabis lovers together. My420mate.com is also a marijuana-friendly dating site that has versions for both Android and iOS.
