So, it’s here — the R2-D2 mini-fridge.

Well, sort of. Only if you live in Japan. And only if you have $8,300 to part with.

In the trailer, you’ll see the incredibly realistic-looking R2 slowly roll right up to the sofa where the owner snags a beverage. The video, which proclaims the R2-D2 fridge will “make your life more fun,” launched a few days ago.

We first saw the R2-D2 mini-fridge this summer, when Haier Asia’s Aqua division in Japan introduced it to audiences worldwide.

There’s no word on a U.S. delivery date, or if the company even intends to sell the R2-D2 fridges here, but if you’re looking for a droid to hang with around your pad, Sphero’s BB-8 looks like a lot more fun. Oh, and it’s $150.
