Want that gold Apple Watch without the gold Apple Watch price?

No problem. According to 9to5 Mac, several jewelers have stepped up to the challenge of gold-plating your Apple prize, for a fraction of the price of the real deal.

While Apple charges $10,000 to $17,000 for its gold versions of the Apple Watch, a couple enterprising jewelers have entered the fray, offering to gold plate your cheap-o version for a fraction of the price. Or just take over the process completely and customize your Apple Watch. For much, much less.

LA-based Watch Plate will gold-plate your Apple Watch for a mere $399. You place the order, FedEx it to them, and in three business days from when they receive your watch, you’ll get it back in 24 karat gold or rose gold. They say they can do any Apple Watch, but something tells us this would work better with a stainless steel version than a plastic band.

The other company, Golden Dreams, is a bit pricier, but the service is more all-inclusive. The Swiss watchmaker allows you to pre-order an Apple Watch through them, which you can then customize with their options: 24 karat gold, 18 karat rose gold, and 18 karat white gold, and choose your watch strap made of alligator, ostrich or shark in more than 160 colors. This costs about $4,200.

Here’s a version of their watch below. Now, get to plating!
