A dropped smartphone often results in that cringe-worthy “oh, s#*%” moment of when you watch it hit the ground and hope it doesn’t shatter your screen to bits.

Apparently, we’re quite good at avoiding such moments here in Seattle. According to a blog post by Boston-based Gazelle, a company that buys old gadgets and repurposes them, we are the third “least klutzy” city in America. Other cities adept at not dropping gear? Honolulu and Irvine, Calif.

As Gazelle reports, “80% of the least Klutzy Cities resided in the west, while 70% of the top Klutziest Cities resided on the East Coast.”

So, who is the worst when it comes to taking care of smartphones? College kids. “Each city on this year’s list is either a major college town or hosts a large university within its city limits,” reports Gazelle.

Yep, many of the top 10 klutziest cities included major college towns, like Gainesville, Fla., (No. 1), home to the University of Florida. Staten Island, N.Y., came in second, and El Paso, Texas, rounded out the top three.
