Is Microsoft’s headquarters campus destined to become more dense? A zoning change in the city of Redmond could allow the company to develop new buildings as tall as 10 stories on part of its main campus, the Seattle Times reports.

The tallest buildings on the 500-acre, 10 million square-foot Redmond campus are currently six stories, and most are no more than five stories. The company, which employs 43,000 people in the state, doesn’t have any current plans to construct new buildings, the newspaper reports, but the zoning change could allow the company to concentrate more of its employee base on its main campus.
