Jaffe is a former Microsoft executive who joined the Redmond company in 1995 and was most recently corporate vice president of corporate development before leaving in 2008.

“We are delighted to have Bruce join the RealNetworks board,” Rob Glaser, RealNetworks’ Chairman and CEO, said in a statement. “Bruce brings a rare combination of intellectual rigor and broad perspective that will serve RealNetworks well in the months and years ahead.”
