Xbox360previewOwners of the nearly decade-old Xbox 360 console will soon get a chance to sign up for their very own system update preview program, following in the footsteps of the Xbox One Preview.

xbox360newnew1Starting this month, certain Xbox 360 customers will be invited — on the system itself — to sign up for the Xbox 360 Preview program. In a blog post, Larry Hryb, Xbox Live’s Major Nelson, explains a special Xbox Live message will appear that will lead to the option to enroll in under system settings. Register, then wait: a further Xbox Live message will show up when the preview is ready.

Hryb says the “upcoming release will be addressing common customer issues including improving the ability to troubleshoot common network issues from the 360 and adding a Network Connectivity test including Download and Upload speed tests.”

Xbox One got its most recent feature preview in February. Owners provide feedback on the beta updates through an integrated dashboard app.
