Avvo is moving into new digs to support its growth.
The Seattle-based legal advice startup said today that it will lease seven floors and become an anchor tenant of a 20-story downtown building at 720 Olive Way near South Lake Union.
Avvo, which currently has offices in the Wells Fargo and Union Station buildings, will now have a central headquarters to house more than 300 employees. The company doubled its headcount in 2014, and expects the same growth in 2015.
Avvo runs a marketplace that matches one of 225,000 participating lawyers with those seeking legal advice. The company was founded in 2007 by Mark Britton, who serves as Avvo’s CEO and won an EY Entrepreneur of the Year award this past June. Avvo, which launched its first national TV ad campaign in February, has raised $60.5 million to date.
