Grocery delivery service Instacart is now a pet supply delivery service in Seattle, Portland, and a dozen other cities.

Following a pilot in Boston and San Francisco, Instacart says it is expanding its partnership with Petco. As of today, its customers in 14 metropolitan areas can order from the more than 11,000 products Petco stocks, have it picked up by Instacart personal shoppers, and delivered “in as little as one hour.”

Notably, a potentially huge metropolitan market — New York City — is not part of today’s launch, but Instacart promises it will be added this summer.

“We’re excited to serve this need for Petco and make being a pet parent easier and more convenient,” said Apoorva Mehta, founder and CEO of Instacart, in announcing the expansion.

Other Instacart cities, in addition to Seattle, Portland and New York, are Atlanta, Austin, Boulder, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, San Francisco, San Jose, and Washington, DC.
