Sitting at a desk all day is hard — and hard on you. Why not get yourself a hand?
Literally, this hand, as Mashable found from Japanese retailer Thanko, will support your head, make you sit up straight and become your office buddy — if you can get to Japan and snag one for a mere $40.
It’s called the Agonose arm, and as funny as it looks, it does appear to be quite functional.
The Thanko description suggests using it to support your jaw, or as a head pillow to rest. You install it by clamping it down on the desk.
They also say it’s a robot arm, but the mechanics of what the robot arm actually does, or attaches to, is unclear. Maybe the company is still working on making that whole robot? An extension rod for Pepper? Who knows.
No word on getting one of these stateside. Amazon carries lots of Thanko products, which feature bendy arms to hold gear and gadgets to keep you better aligned, but maybe they’ll hear our plea over there and start to stock these little robot arms pronto. I’d love to get one on a plane.
