Guillaume Wiatr creates a mural at the GeekWire Summit.

Translating technical concepts into compelling art is no easy feat. But that didn’t stop muralist Guillaume Wiatr from creating nine incredible, giant art boards during our recent GeekWire Summit.

“The first thing that people see is the output and product, but really it’s about the process,” he said. “Most of the work is listening — 75 percent, in fact. It’s about having a wide enough visual vocabulary that I can access in a nanosecond.”

Watch Wiatr create the murals in this time-lapse video and continue reading for details on getting one of these GeekWire Summit murals for your own home or office, as part of our Geeks Give Back initiative.

We’re offering these murals to people who request them as part of our ongoing Geeks Give Back campaign, in partnership with the Washington State Opportunity Scholarship. You can claim one if you donate a minimum of $500 to support STEM education in Washington state through the campaign.

This offer runs through next Wednesday, Oct. 28. The murals are available for pick up at the GeekWire offices. For more details and to claim a board, email monica@geekwire.com.

Our friends at Pioneer Square Labs have already donated $2,000 to the campaign, claiming one of the art boards. Scroll down to see the remaining available boards.
