What did late-night talk show hosts do before the Internet?
Last night, The Decemberists, who hail from Portland, Ore., put aside their songwriting prowess to take to Jimmy Kimmel’s stage to perform hilarious, ignorant and even downright hateful YouTube comments. The videos covered a variety of subjects, from cute pandas to Justin Bieber.
The band was stopping by to promote their new album, What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World. Fun fact: If you didn’t already know this, frontman Colin Meloy writes a series of acclaimed, popular books for teens, The Wildwood Chronicles.
