Uh oh. There are some rumors out there that everyone’s favorite cult-creepy TV series based in our beloved Pacific Northwest may not make it back to the small screen.

At least those are the rumblings from an Australian journalist who recently saw David Lynch speak at an event Down Under.

According the Seattle PI, Lynch said in October the show was coming back to TV on Showtime. Fan site Welcome to Twin Peaks followed up the rumors, posting that EW got a source close to the project to say that all was well in Peaks land.

“Nothing is going on that’s any more than any preproduction process with David Lynch,” the source told EW. “Everything is moving forward and everybody is crazy thrilled and excited.”

According to Showtime, Lynch has delivered all the scripts and Kyle MacLachlan is still on to pick up his iconic role of Agent Cooper. No update from Lynch’s camp yet on the comment. The series is scheduled to air in 2016 at this time.

Please return to your regularly scheduled pie and coffee break.
