In the grand tradition of “Scream,” MTV has discovered a new way to torture and kill teenagers — and instead of a landline, the filmmakers are using Skype.
The story behind the first all-online horror flick is this: A girl goes to a party, gets drunk, does some embarrassing stuff and passes out. People snap pictures of her and put them online, which leads to a deluge of slut-shaming. Girl kills herself. (Lesson here? Bullying, never acceptable.)
A year after her death, a mysterious person shows up on her Skype account, threatening the person who posted the pics to fess up. And if they don’t? Well, the killing spree ensues.
