Well, this could be very interesting. Angelina Jolie could be the director of the big-budget, action flick Captain Marvel.
According to rumors via Cinema Blend, “executives at Marvel Studios were so impressed by her handling of the material in the above-mentioned biographical drama [Unbroken] that they have offered her a whopping $20 million to direct their first female-led film.”
Marvel announced last year that superhero Carol Danvers would lead the first female-driven film. Captain Marvel is due out July 2018.
And while sources say Jolie is considering it, the deal isn’t done yet. But having the former Lara Croft take on the superhero genre certainly makes sense to us.
