Executive producer Jill Soloway has already said that the “bubble wrap is off” for the second season of Amazon’s award-winning series Transparent, and if the second trailer released today is any indication, audiences are in for a rockier, wilder ride.
The characters return looking dismayed, disheveled and confused at what they hath wrought in season one. If last year was about tearing down and starting fresh, this season finds the Pfeffermans standing in the aftermath and trying to figure out how to rebuild.
There are pool parties, family fights, jealousy, a wedding and a discussion about gender reassignment surgery. And, if this trailer is any indication, it looks fantastic so far.
Transparent is back for Prime members on Dec. 11.
