For the first time ever, Zulily will be making an appearance on QVC.

It makes perfect sense that the Seattle-based retailer will appear on the shopping network — QVC purchased Zulily in August for $2.4 billion. We reported then that one major perk for Zulily would be the advantage of presenting its merchandise via QVC’s airwaves.

In an August interview with GeekWire shortly after the deal, which was positioned as a growth move for Zulily, the company’s CEO Darrell Cavens told us that the new partnership would allow Zulily to “go after brands and categories that we weren’t deep in, like health, beauty and jewelry.”

“They are categories we dabbled in, but haven’t done big business in,” Cavens continued in that interview. “And, on the brand side, QVC has proprietary brands and exclusive relationships. We can bring a set of emerging brands that really have phenomenal product but not great distribution and expose that to QVC to keep the freshness and newness there.”

Zulily’s chief merchant Lori Twomey will guest star on the QVC show tonight, appearing with host Albany Irvin.

A Zulily rep told us in an email release that the show will feature footage of the Seattle office and employees going through the process of selecting and presenting products on the site.

A special Zulily event will coincide with the show, featuring select items that will be unlocked and on sale on the retailer’s homepage. “Discover Zulily” starts at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET tonight on QVC Plus, and you can also follow along with a live stream on Zulily’s site here.
