Did you name your kid after an Instagram filter? Lots of people did this year.

In Baby Center’s report on 2015’s most popular baby names and baby-naming trends, they noted the popular social sharing site’s impact on giving junior a name.

Increasingly, our digital world influenced naming practices, new parents pulling inspiration from “YouTube celebrities, video game heroines, characters from young adult (YA) novels, and even Instagram filters.”

The most popular #Instagrambabies names included Lux, Juno, Reyes, Ludwig, Amaro, Valencia and Willow. The popularity of Lux was up 75 percent on the boy names list, with Juno rising 30 percent for the girls.

“Many new moms and dads are at home on social media and fluent in emoji, hashtags, and memes,” writes Baby Center in the post. “Some wouldn’t even think of posting a photo on Facebook or Instagram without some creative tweaking.”

Other geeky baby-naming trends? Naming your kid after royals, which seriously, won’t give them a big head or anything like that. And we’re not talking William, Harry or Kate here. Parents embraced monikers like Royalty, Royal, Duchess, Princess and Prince, which probably doesn’t make the real and only Prince very happy.

For girls, people also embraced Katniss (The Hunger Games), Hazel (from John Green’s popular YA novel The Fault in Our Stars), and celestial names like Luna, Stella, Venus and Gaia.

And here are the top regular baby names, inspired by ye olden times.
