President Barack Obama already cracked jokes with Richard Sherman. Now, he’ll have a chance to entertain the entire Seahawks squad.
As customary for teams that win the Super Bowl, the world champion Seattle Seahawks will be visiting the White House Wednesday to meet with Obama.
The special opportunity was made possible thanks to Seattle’s 43-8 beatdown of the Broncos back in February that gave the franchise its first ever championship. Russell Wilson, Earl Thomas and the rest of the Seahawks — including those that left the team after the Super Bowl win — will tour the Oval Office and shake hands with Obama tomorrow afternoon.
We are off to the @WhiteHouse! Everyone is really excited! We are very proud to represent the #12s in DC! #GoHawks
