russellsurface12Russell Wilson isn’t lying when he expresses admiration for Microsoft’s Surface tablet.

As part of Microsoft’s latest Surface commercial that features people saying “honestly,” the Seattle Seahawks quarterback explains why he loves his Surface Pro 2 so much during what’s been a busy NFL offseason for the 25-year-old.

“It’s great for watching game film, drawing up plays,” he says from a barbershop chair. “It’s got OneNote, so I can stay on top of my to-do list, which has been absolutely absurd since the big game. With Skype, it’s just really easy to stay in touch with the kids I work with.”

Wilson has become the unofficial celebrity spokesperson for the Surface ever since he started promoting the tablet following Seattle’s Super Bowl win in February. Microsoft has a partnership with the NFL and is having Wilson tout the benefits of its tablet — however, this is first time he’s appeared in a Microsoft commercial.

Speaking of the Seahawks, the big news from today was that star cornerback Richard Sherman signed a four-year, $57.4 million contract extension with the team. Sherman, a big gamer himself, recently keynoted at the Adobe Summit marketing and innovation conference.
