PAX-LogoUpdated below with answer and winner.

It’s that time of year: The big Penny Arcade Expo — better known as PAX Prime, aka the “Woodstock for gamers” — is coming up next weekend in Seattle.

As usual, tickets were gone shortly after they went on sale. But we’ve got a pair of Saturday passes to PAX to give away to one lucky GeekWire reader or listener.

That’s our prize for the winner of this week’s Name that Tech Tune challenge, a regular feature of the GeekWire radio show and podcast.

Here’s how it works: Identify the video game associated with this sound, and send your answer to contest@geekwire.com. From the pool of correct answers, we’ll pick one person at random to win the pair of Saturday passes.

Do you know what it is? Send your answer to contest@geekwire.com.

Good luck! We’ll notify the winner by Tuesday. Tune in next week for the answer.

Update, 8/30: The answer is … Sonic the Hedgehog (for Sega Genesis). Congrats to our winner, Kyle Maltz.

kiroradioName that Tech Tune is a regular feature of the GeekWire radio show, which airs on KIRO Radio in Seattle (97.3 FM) at 7 p.m. Saturdays and 1 p.m. Sundays, except when pre-empted by live sports.
