robinsoncanohtcRobinson Cano is certainly staying busy this offseason.

The Seattle Mariners star second baseman today announced a new multi-year agreement with HTC and will become the phone maker’s North American brand ambassador.

“HTC is a natural fit for me because they always want to be the best at what they do,” said Cano, who is also spending the next few weeks across the Pacific to represent the MLB at the Japan All-Star Series.

For those not familiar with Cano, he’s a six-time MLB All-Star who came to Seattle from the New York Yankees after agreeing to a whopping 10-year, $240 million contract this past December.

Cano, who helps run his RC22 Foundation to serve underprivileged youth, is also part of Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports, an entertainment company founded by the rapper.

HTC, which is struggling to compete against Samsung and Apple, signed a two-year, $12 million marketing contract with actor Robert Downey Jr. last year.
