GW calendar logoMonday, Oct. 20 kicks off a five-day celebration of Seattle’s dynamic startup community.

Seattle Startup Week is a free conference with events hosted by entrepreneurs at venues around the city. Programming ranges from educational — with sessions like “Intellectual Property Fundamentals for Startups” and “How to Start a Startup” to fun and social with events entitled “Waffle Wednesday,” “Sports Tech Meetup and Social,” and “Random acts of Cupcakes.”

Attendees have the opportunity to hear fireside chats from Rover CTO Scott Porad, GeekWire Chariman Jonathan Sposoto, and Sir Mix-A-Lot — really.

Sessions will also delve into issues of gender, success and failure, veteran entrepreneurship, and financing startups. Zillow’s Rich Barton and RealNetworks’ Rob Glaser are delivering keynotes. Learn more and RSVP for individual events here.
