GW calendar logoThe sharing economy has generated a lot of buzz (and heated debate) since services like Uber and Airbnb first emerged. Seattle itself has become an epicenter of the controversy with the 15-month battle over the legality of transportation startups.

But the wave of sharing-based services doesn’t stop there. There’s an “Uber of” almost every sector popping up to capitalize on the model. And with any great movement, there comes a documentary.

Stop by to see a screening of the extended trailer of the film, followed by live interviews and a panel discussion.

Panelists will include Microsoft’s Social Computing Researcher, Andres Monroy Hernandez, City Councilmember Nick Licata, the City of Seattle’s startup liaison Rebecca Lovell, and GeekWire’s own Taylor Soper.
