starbucksseahawksFirst, Microsoft and T-Mobile got in on the Seahawks craze. It was only a matter of time before another big Seattle company realized the marketing opportunity.

Starbucks is offering up a pretty sweet deal today: 12-cent coffees in honor of the “12th Man,” a nickname given to Seahawks fan base.

All you have to do is wear Hawks-colored clothing today inside participating Washington-based Starbucks stores and you can get a tall brewed coffee for just 12 cents.

For what it’s worth, the Seattle coffee giant does not appear to be offering the deal to those in San Francisco (the Hawks host the 49ers at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday). I approve of local companies supporting their local teams, so nice job Starbucks.

Meanwhile, back at the company headquarters, Starbucks is pushing out updates to its iOS app to address concerns raised by a security researcher about the way the app stores user names and passwords.
