Another tech company is relocating to Washington. This time it’s Basho, a six-year-old startup known for Riak, its open-source distributed NoSQL database, and a cloud storage software called Riak CS. In a statement, the company said it is moving operations from Washington D.C. to Bellevue because of the region’s “technology industry and deep talent pool.” Basho, which is led by former Tier 3 CEO Adam Wray, will continue to maintain offices in D.C., London, and Tokyo. This is just the latest of many tech companies that have set up shop in the Seattle area.
