Google released its year-end report of what was most searched for in 2014. And, as Gawker already so astutely pointed out, it sure was an incredibly depressing year.

Robin Williams was the most searched item of 2014, with the World Cup and Ebola coming in after. The full top 10 here:

  1. Robin Williams
  2. World Cup
  3. Ebola
  4. Malaysia Airlines
  5. 5. Flappy Bird
  6. 6. ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
  7. 7. ISIS
  8. 8. Ferguson
  9. 9. Frozen
  10. 10. Ukraine

The top three most Googled people were: Jennifer Lawrence (the naked pics probably helped), Kim Kardashian and Tracy Morgan. The full lists are here, including the most Googled athletes, books, movies, dog questions and more. All I can say is if I never see another ice bucket challenge again in my life, it will be too soon.
