10up, a company specializing in WordPress implementations, is opening up its first physical office in Portland, Ore.
The company, which has worked with clients like TechCrunch, Juicy Couture and Consumer Reports, will have five-to-seven of its 25 distributed employes working in the office on a regular basis. 10up shared a lot of love for the Portland area in its press release, calling the city’s online media community “second only to mega-metropolises like New York City and San Francisco.”
“This expanding, thriving technology community is the perfect atmosphere for 10up to begin growing its distributed roots into brick and mortar hubs,” writes 10up’s Director of Web Engineering Jeremy Felt.
The company plans on using the new office to host meetups, events and hack days, as well as to attract new talent and bolster the relationship with the local web design and WordPress community in Portland.
