For the second time this year, Wild Tangent is making the move to mobile.
Four months after releasing its first iOS game, Polar Bowler 1st Frame, the Redmond-based company is out with its second mobile title, Penguins! Escape.
It’s the mobile version of the classic WildTangent game Penguins! but with updated graphics and animations for both iPhone and iPad touch displays. The game is available for $1.99, unlike Polar Bowler 1st Frame, which is free with ads.
The company wouldn’t disclose numbers on Polar Bowler’s mobile success, but said they’ve been “blown away” with the reception.
“Consumers love this little game,” said Matt Shea, executive VP at WildTangent. “Our BrandBoost advertising platform that allows players to earn crates has been applauded by both players and advertisers. We feel we’ve only just scratched the surface of what we will be doing with this title and other titles coming out this year.”
WildTangent, ranked 18th in our GeekWire 200 Startup List, also announced earlier this week that its mobile game service is now available on Asus tablets worldwide.
