Updated below with answer and winner …

Longtime listeners to the GeekWire radio show and podcast may have noticed that we have a new intro for our weekly Name that Tech Tune contest. KIRO Radio’s Erynn Rose, who puts together the show each week, created the intro using a bunch of cool little tunes and sounds, and we decided it would be fun to focus on one of them as the subject of this week’s contest.

It’s a song from a classic video game, and we’ll admit this isn’t an easy one. Up for grabs is a pair of tickets to the GeekWire Ping-Pong & Anniversary Bash, coming up March 6 at the Showbox SoDo in Seattle. If you think you know the source of the tune below, send it to contest@geekwire.com.

Are you ready? Here’s the tune.

If you’re stumped, here’s the full Name that Tech Tune segment from this week’s GeekWire radio show and podcast, which might give you a little more context, at least.

If you think you know the answer, send it to contest@geekwire.com. We’ll give the answer and announce the winner next week.

Name that Tech Tune is a regular feature of the GeekWire radio show and podcast, which airs on 97.3 KIRO-FM in Seattle at 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. every Saturday. The show runs every weekend on GeekWire.com.  Also search for the show on Stitcher.

The GeekWire Ping-Pong & Anniversary Bash runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6 at the Showbox SoDo in Seattle. This is a big ping-pong and foosball tournament in the middle of an even bigger party. More tickets and details available here.

Update, Feb. 9: The answer is … Arkanoid. Congrats to our winner, Heather.
