Breaking news: Steve Ballmer is bald.

Just kidding about the breaking news part, unless you’re obsessed with keeping track of CEO’s and their haircuts. But for real, Microsoft’s CEO rocked a new haircut yesterday at the CES. In fact, he didn’t just get a haircut — he got all of his hairs cut.

Linda Thomas over at MyNorthwest wrote up a post about this, nothing that the bald Ballmer looks a little like Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos. Maybe Ballmer thinks that Bezos’ bald head has to do with the success of Amazon.

In somewhat of a surprise, Ballmer was in Vegas speaking for 15 minutes on the keynote stage with Qualcomm CEO Paul Jacobs. He talked about new Windows 8 and Windows Phone devices, focusing on those powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. Ballmer delivered a minor piece of news, saying that sales of Windows Phones were five times larger during Christmas week this year than during the same period last year.

But back to the important part: his hair. What do you think about Steve’s new ‘do? Does he feel like his job requires more time and energy, and therefore doesn’t want to spend as much time in the shower every morning washing his hair? Or maybe this is the new look for top-notch tech CEO’s?
