pvz2xboxPopCap is already hitting it out of the park with the just-released Plants vs. Zombies 2 and the Seattle-based company just announced some cool Kinect and SmartGlass integration planned for its new game for the Xbox One.

Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare will feature a couple game modes exclusive to Microsoft’s next-gen console that take advantage of Kinect and SmartGlass.

In “Boss Mode,” players will be able to act like a general with a top-down view of the playing field in Crazy Dave’s RV or Dr. Zomboss’ blimp. You’ll be able to either use the motion control on Kinect or a SmartGlass compatible device with a touchscreen to help teammates with healing stations and also call in bomb strikes.

This game will roll out first on the Xbox One next spring, then to Xbox 360 and PC. Here’s a video from some PopCap developers explaining the new Kinect and SmartGlass integration:

At GamesCom today, PopCap also lifted the curtains on Peggle 2, the sequel to Peggle which will launch later this year on the Xbox One exclusively. Here’s a short gameplay video PopCap put out Tuesday:
