Microsoft today announced some updates to its SkyDrive iOS app, including support for the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini.
Users can also now download full resolution photos, whereas before the SkyDrive app would resize images to a lower resolution. Now, you’ll also be able to control upload/download photo sizes and the sync process has the capability to retain photo metadata.
Finally, the new update speeds up the process of opening and saving SkyDrive files with other iOS apps.
Perhaps this means things are going better between Microsoft and Apple. Last December, the two companies were at ends about Apple’s 30 percent cut of revenue from SkyDrive storage purchases through the iOS app.
