header211Welcome! Here’s a look at some nerdy things happening in the Pacific Northwest this weekend and early next week. With SIFF happening, I thought it would be fun to focus on films playing that might be of extra interest to GeekWire readers. As always, check out the GeekWire Calendar for fun, interesting, and always geeky things to do in and around our fine city!

Multi-Pass-the-fifth-element-1742871-516-271The Fifth Element @ Central Cinema: Seattle Friday, 5/31 – Wednesday, 6/5. OK I might be a little biased on this one because The Fifth Element is one of my favorite films of all time! This is a great chance to either relive this sci-fi classic or experience it for the first time. Just be sure to bring your multipass! ;)

Hack for Change: Seattle Saturday, 6/1 10am – 4pm. Saturday is the National Day of Civic Hacking and what better way to celebrate than going to this event? Hosted by The City of Seattle and Code for Seattle, Hack for Change is a day full of workshops and discussions for computer nerds of all levels.

Weird and Awesome w/ Emmett Montgomery: Seattle: Sunday, 6/2 7:30pm. Poetry, short films, stand up comedy – whatever your heart desires! This once a month variety show will either leave you laughing, crying or both. Truly weird and awesome, experience it for yourself.

siff-2013-kyle-maclachlan-290x290An Evening With Kyle MacLachlan @ SIFF (Twin Peaks pilot screening): Seattle: Monday, 6/3 7:30pm. This is a once in a lifetime oppurtunity! Watch the Twin Peaks pilot with Agent Cooper himself! Plus a Q&A, maybe we can finally find out who Diane is…
