header21I really truly hope you’re all caught up on your zzz’s, y’all, because this weekend is going to be wicked legendary! Here’s a play by play of what your weekend should look like so you don’t have to worry about planning – I’ve already done the heavy lifting for you.

So DON’T sit back and relax, STAND UP AND GET READY TO PARTY!

My suggestion is to kick things off Friday night with a screening of Tremors at Central Cinema 7pm. Heck stick around for the Wild at Heart showing at 9:30 too, both are great summer flicks and will get you in the mood for your totally triumphant weekend.

Ok kids, here’s where things start getting real. It’s Saturday morning, and you’re faced with three AWESOME options of how to spend your day. Your choices:

Seattle Geocaching Day and Geocaching Block Party! Saturday, August 17th 11am – 6pm. The Mayor has declared August 17th, to be Seattle Geocaching Day! That means it’s your civic duty to attend the Geocaching Block Party at the top secret location: N 47° 38.943 W 122° 20.931. There will food, vendors, games and fun for everyone! Plus it’s FREE. If you don’t go you’ll make Mayor McGinn cry. :(

_KAN8636Zombie Run: Saturday, August 17th, 11am. Being a fan of the zombie genre of anything (and everything) is one thing, however, being a participant? Now that’s taking it to the next level.

This is a 5K run just like any other, except there’s zombies thrown in the mix, lots of ’em! And helicopters and tons of other stuff to make the course look like a real zombie apocalypse! So will you register as a human survivor or a brain-hungry zombie? Now’s the time to put your zombie apocalypse survival strategy to the test. Do you have what it takes to survive the zombie run!?

The World’s Largest Waterfight: Saturday, August 17th 12pm – 7pm. (See, I wasn’t kidding when I said this weekend was gonna rule). Go wash off all that zombie make-up at the WORLD’S LARGEST WATERFIGHT!!! This is an official attempt, like Guinness World record official, to be the largest waterfight in the world, so again, it’s your civic duty, your INTERNATIONAL duty, really, to attend. Tons of food trucks, musical performances and apparently a massive beer garden are sure to help keep you having fun during this record-breaking day. Our recommendation is to bring an extra pair of socks, because they’re gonna get knocked off (and soaked).

WHEW! It’s Sunday evening and you’re covered in zombie blood, geocaching souvenirs and you’re absolutely drenched. Just wait until you see what’s on the calendar for NEXT weekend. ;)
