starbuckspickoftheweekStarbucks’ mobile app is becoming a little more robust, as the Seattle-based coffee giant is now incorporating the “Pick of the Week” program into its iOS app.

In the past, customers could pick up a “Pick of the Week” redemption code (pictured to the right) inside stores to redeem a free app or other digital content. Now, CNET is reporting that Starbucks will allow people to download the content through the app or in-store wireless network.

Content for the Pick of the Week program, which was launched in 2008, has been exclusively available through iTunes or the App Store, and no word on if these updates are coming to Starbucks’ Android app.

Angry Birds Star Wars will be the first free “Pick of the Week” content available through the Starbucks app.
