Bungie today released details about its new game Destiny, including beta information and a new game trailer.
The Destiny beta will be available in early 2014 and those interested in getting their hands on it can sign up here. The public beta, available only to those that pre-order Destiny, will include “most major modes and activities featured in the game,” Bungie said. For gamers that have already preordered Bungie, you’re already included in the beta and will receive a code via email.
Destiny is first title under Bungie’s name since the company spun off from Microsoft in 2007. The shooter lets players create customizable characters and travel to other planets after a cataclysm destroys much of Earth. As one of the few survivors, players must defend Earth and reclaim the solar system from alien invaders. It will be available on both PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
Microsoft owned Bungie from 2000 to 2007, at which point it split into its own private company. Microsoft still owns rights to the Halo intellectual property.
